The Rifle Bears used a strong second half to beat the Eaton Reds on Saturday and advance to the second round of the playoffs. The 27-0 victory marks the first playoff shutout for the Bears since a 15-0 Quarterfinals win over Roosevelt.

Tanner Vines had another great game for the Bears, racking up 121 yards (unofficially) and two touchdowns. Tanner continues to be the leading rusher in the State of Colorado regardless of classification.

The win on Saturday sets up a showdown on the road with the Resurrection Christian Cougars. The Cougars are 10-0 on the season and are the 2A Patriot West League Champions. Resurrection Christian is a private school located in the Loveland area. The Cougars have a short, but very successful playoff history, making the semi-finals in 1A and 2A in 3 of the last 4 years.

The game will be at 1:00 on Saturday on the campus of Windsor High School in Windsor.
