The Rifle Bears (11-1) finished their run through their side of the CHSAA 2A playoff bracket with a 24-15 win over the three time defending state champions, the Eaton Reds at Bears Stadium on Saturday.
The win sets up a rematch with the Delta Panthers (12-0), the only team on Rifle’s 2023 schedule that the Bears did not beat. Delta advanced after beating another west slope team, Moffat County, 28-10.
The State Championship will be played on Saturday, November 25 at 1:00PM at Stocker Stadium in Grand Junction.
