Rifle vs. Battle Mountain 2011 was one for the ages. After exchanging the lead four different times in the fourth quarter, the Bears got the ball with 1:28 on the clock and facing a two point deficit. Rifle drove the ball to the Battle Mountain 28 with under 30 seconds left to play. With the clock running, Marco Gutierrez ran onto the field and booted a game-winning 45 yard field goal with just six seconds left to play. Rifle won the game 22 – 21.
