After a significant lightning delay, the Rifle Bears defeated the Coal Ridge Titans 21 -14 on Friday night. Brandon Kittle scored two touchdowns, Adam Rice scored the third, and the Bears’ defense contributed two key stops backed deep in their own territory.
The Bears salted the game away with a clock-consuming drive in the fourth quarter. Rifle took possession with seven minutes left and marched methodically down the field, kneeling on the ball for the last two plays.
Up next for the Bears is defending 2A State Champion Olathe. The game is this Friday at 7:00 at Bears Stadium.
